The fine folks over at charcoalcollaborative.com have posted a tantalize preview of most of the participants in this year’s burger week. By the looks of things this event is just going to continue growing and even has a few participants you might not imagine (Burrito Splendido, Shawarma Khan) featuring a burger.

I’m er… worried about how many of these are within a 5-10 minute walk of my office.

Personal highlights of the preview include…

Cibo’s ‘The Rob Ford:’

Two beef patties, bacon, smoked cabbage coleslaw, pickles, charred onion aioli on a ‘smoke crack’(ed) black pepper beer bun.

This one sounds up my alley plus gives me a chance to check and see if Cibo’s service has improved.

Marion St. Eatery’s Tickle my Pickle burger:

Beef, aged cheddar, bacon, dill sauce, deep fried pickles, regular dill pickles, fried egg and dill pickle chips.

I’ve been meaning to check out the Mario St. Eatery for ages now and as someone who adores dill their choice is probably going to make that new experience be for burger week.

Deer + Almond’s Chicken Fried Chicken:

No photo of this one yet but Chicken Fried Chicken is one of those things I have a weakness for, especially from the Deer + Almond crew.

Bernstein’s Deli’s ‘Sweet 2 Meat U:’

Sausage patty, bacon, buttermilk pancake, chipotle maple syrup and strawberry jam.

Anyone else think of the Simpsons with this one?  ‘We call it the Good Morning Burger

Lots of very different entrants this year, here’s hoping we continue to see this event spread. If I can manage to hold back from immediately devouring my choices I’ll try to snap a few photos next week.

Go check out Charcoal Collaborative for more entrants and some photos that will have you counting down the seconds ‘til you can stuff your face.
